(1) My experience shows that 3 students will benefit greatly from a 90 minute session.
** Saltwater Trip lessons typically require multiple lessons (typically 3 lessons). In my experience, single saltwater trip lessons don't adequately prepare students for an upcoming saltwater excursion. However, if a single session is the only option possible, it should be for a minimum of 90 minutes (for 1 student). See "Saltwater 3-Lesson Set" for a better option.

* Three, 1hr lessons that target the Bronze level of the Fly Fishers International's Casting Skills Challenge. This is an intermediate to advanced-intermediate casting level that includes 7 practical fishing casts. This is, by far, the most popular lesson option chosen by my students.

**For my Bronze level students, a 4-1hr lesson set is available to target the Silver level of the Casting Skills Challenges. Silver is an advanced-intermediate to advanced skill level that includes 8 practical fishing casts. This lesson set culminates with an introduction to the Double-Haul.

The best option for most saltwater anglers, & my most popular saltwater preparatory lesson option, for both experienced saltwater anglers & those new to saltwater techniques. It includes 1 - 1 hr lesson & 2 - 1.5 hr lessons. It is geared toward anglers who will be fishing from a flats boat or panga boat. It includes such skills as:
*** For students who won't be fishing from a flats boat or panga boat, most of what I cover in this package will still apply. Most of my saltwater students select this lesson set regardless of the fishing conditions that will apply on their upcoming trip.
The minimum age for casting lessons is 10 years old. I will consider students 8 - 10 on a case-by-case basis. For kids under 18 a parent/guardian must be present for the duration of the lesson.
Lessons are rarely canceled due to inclement weather. Severe weather conditions and high winds are exceptions.
Cancellations require at least 24-hour advanced notice. I will try to accommodate changes as they arise.
For 3 students, it is advisable that you sign up for at least a 90 min session to make the most of the session.
Most lessons are conducted in Parker, CO. Once a lesson has been scheduled, an email will be sent with some additional info and directions.
For some lessons, especially larger groups, I may engage the help of assistant instructors.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
Payment by credit card is not currently an option. Lessons can be purchased via PayPal on this website or by cash, check, Venmo, or Zelle at the time of the lesson.

The BRONZE 3-Lesson Package is, by far, the most popular choice among my students. It allows for progressive improvement in casting skills that build toward a goal. While most Bronze students are able to successfully achieve the Bronze level, success will require a commitment by the student(s) to practice in addition to the casting instruction received.
For Saltwater instruction, the 3-Lesson Saltwater Flats Boat Package is my most popular choice.
All 3-Lesson Packages for multiple students require that all students are at roughly the same level of casting skills.
Payment for all 3-Lesson Packages is upfront. Students may cancel within 30 days of the first lesson & receive a refund for any unused lesson(s). When calculating unused lesson refunds, all lessons completed will be adjusted to single-lesson pricing before the refund amount is calculated.
The SILVER 4-Lesson Package is only available to students who have achieved the BRONZE level skill set. This is an advanced-intermediate to advanced skill set and culminates with an introduction to the Double-Haul, an advanced casting skill.
GOLD Skills Challenge - For students who have achieved both BRONZE & SILVER with me, mentoring lessons are available. These require pre-approval & require special access privileges to schedule through the website.
